Best Quick-Service Meals at Disneyland

Sleeping Beauty's Castle at Disneyland

If you’re trying to maximize ride time in your day or just aren’t feeling a sit-down restaurant, Disneyland is full of quick-service food options for a quick yummy bite to eat. Ranging from meals to snacks to beverages, these food locations are great for a little break and many options are good on the go. You are also able to find some of the cheapest food in Disneyland at these quick-service restaurants.

Here are some of our go-to favorite quick-service restaurants and the meal items on their menus that you must try in our Disneyland food guide.

French Market Restaurant

Located in New Orleans Square, the French Market offers a Cajun and Creole-inspired menu. Set up cafeteria-style, you can order your food items quickly and enjoy seating on a garden terrace. This place can get a little busy during typical lunch and dinner times, but sits in a great location! The location is great to get a feel of sitting in New Orleans, and a great place to take a break throughout the busy day at Disneyland California.

Jambalaya

Salad selection at the French Market Restaurant

With chicken and Andouille sausage over a bowl of spiced rice, you’ll be full with a plentiful portion. It is spicy, but not too spicy, making it manageable to appeal to most guests. Get this with a little jalapeno cornbread and you’ll be set for hours of rides and walking around the parks.

Shrimp Po’ Boy Sandwich

A classic Southern favorite, the Po’ Boy sandwich comes with battered shrimp and a yummy citrus-caper mayo with seasoned chips on the side. It’s flavorful, hits the spot, and is less spicy for those who prefer something a bit milder. Despite the lack of spiciness, the mayo packs the sandwich with flavor.

Royal Street Veranda

Menu and ordering window for the Royal Street Veranda

Located right across the pathway from French Market Restaurant, the Royal Street Veranda is a walk-up counter serving one meal: soup in a bread bowl. This is the epitome of quick-service meals. With clam chowder, steak gumbo, and vegetable gumbo on the menu, all are really tasty options. Especially as the sun starts to go down, this will warm you up and fill you up with the sourdough bowl. This Disneyland restaurant can be described as having some of the best vegan food, reasonable pricing and great location within the Disneyland parks.

Steak or Vegetable Gumbo

Vegetable gumbo in a bread bowl

We suggest the gumbo to keep with the New Orleans theme of the area and for the more interesting flavors between the two soup options. With a hearty portion at a reasonable price, you can get the same gumbo experience as a sit-down restaurant from this quick-service window!

Bengal Barbecue

Head over to Adventureland for your protein and vegetables! Not all Disneyland food options need to be packed with sugar or bread. For a bit healthier but still considered quick-service meals and a flavorful option, Bengal Barbecue specializes in a variety of meat and vegetable skewers. Mix and match for a quick meal. Bayan Skewers come in a variety of choices: chicken, bacon-wrapped asparagus, pork belly, beef, and grilled vegetables. If you are looking for bbq at Disneyland than Bengal Barbecue is your place. One of the most popular plates is the Bengal rice plate!

To make a full meal of it, select two skewers from the menu with Jasmine rice and a citrus-miso slaw. The chicken skewer comes with a sweet Polynesian sauce, which has become very popular. But who can pass up the asparagus wrapped in bacon? It’s the perfect combination of veggie and smoky bacon flavor.

Plaza Inn

Located on Disneyland Main Street, this quick-service restaurant feels more like a sit-down experience. If you are looking for a comfortable place to eat and comfort food while doing it, Plaza Inn is your spot!

Fried Chicken Dinner

Fried Chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans and biscuit

This is arguably one of the best and most popular quick-service meals and food options in Disneyland Park. The portion size is very generous and the chicken is raved about. Don’t believe me, ask the dishes.

Served with mashed potatoes, green beans, and a biscuit, this fried chicken uses “distinctive herbs and spices” to keep guests coming back again and again. This meal is big enough to be split between two people!

Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante

You’re in California, which boasts great Mexican food. Compared to Mexican food you can find throughout Southern California; Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante is fairly Americanized. But if you are looking for quick-service meals that are Mexican-inspired dishes, you can find them in Frontierland. With generous portion sizes and a comfortable seating area, we recommend this place if you are in the mood for Mexican food and want to enjoy a festive ambiance!

Burrito Guadalajara

Burrito Guadalajara with rice and beans

An Al Pastor burrito topped with Tomatillo sauce, this burrito is BIG. It comes with pork, but can be made with chicken or beef too! It also comes with Mexican rice and refried beans for a full meal. Don’t forget the pico de gallo and sour cream! This dish isn’t very spicy but the Tomatillo salsa gives it a tangy and refreshing flavor.

Street Tacos

While these come on the menu in a trio of beef, chicken, and pork, you can order them a la carte as well. The meal comes with Mexican rice and refried beans if you are a bit hungrier. The tacos are soft-shelled and stand out for their fresh ingredients. The Tomatillo sauce combines with the meat for great flavor and the onions and cilantro give it that freshness.

Red Rose Taverne

With Beauty and the Beast theme, the Red Rose Taverne at Disneyland is a counter-service restaurant is found in Fantasyland. With a variety of Beast-inspired meals, this place was supposed to be temporary, but doesn’t look like it’ll be going anywhere anytime soon!

Beast’s Breakfast Burger

The Red Rose Taverne Beast's Breakfast Burger

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, right? The Red Rose Taverne offers a complete breakfast menu that is considered quick-service meals. The breakfast burger is our go-to. With an Angus patty, rosemary-maple cream cheese, bacon, scrambled eggs, and waffle fries on a roll, you may not need to eat lunch. This is packed with all your favorite breakfast items, is flavorful, and will definitely keep you full for the morning if not half of your day!

Enchanted Cauli-Flower Sandwich

With a play on the enchanted rose from the film, this is a flavor-packed vegetarian option! Vegetarian or not, you’ll love the spicy lime aioli that compliments the cauliflower on a toasted roll. It comes with fries (or apple slices) and competes with the meat-options on the menu!

Bring on the ribs! Served over cabbage slaw with a blueberry corn muffin, these sticky pork ribs are covered in a flavorful seasoning that offers a delicious smokiness in contrast with the tangier slaw.  The ribs are tender, making them incredibly satisfying in both flavor and texture. A refreshing change from most quick-service meals.

Roasted Endorian Tip-Yip Salad

Salads are probably not your go-to meal option in a theme park, but the Tip-Yip salad offers great flavor and is probably one of the best offered in the parks. Think of it as an upgraded chicken Caesar salad, with green curry ranch, marinated chicken, roasted vegetables, quinoa, and pumpkin seeds for crunch. This is one of the healthier offerings on the menu depending on the dressing portion.

Flo’s V-8 Café

Flo's V-8 Cafe

This is one of the more unique spins on breakfast in the parks and is filling. It’s the perfect stop before hopping on Radiator Springs Racers!

Brioche French Toast

This brioche French toast looks good and tastes good. It is baked and served with bananas and salted caramel sauce drizzled over. It is definitely on the sweeter side as far as French toast goes, so ask for the sauce on the side if you don’t like a dessert for breakfast! This is a must-try item when you enter the parks!
